LSSU named Community Partner of the Year

Positive Feedback and Food for Thought from the EQS-IFR

First, thanks for your patience and understanding with the EQS process last week. Special thanks to Jon V for giving up his room for the day. The visitors were definitely impressed with your work with students and the culture at PA. Thanks for being welcoming and positive. They will provide LSSU with a more comprehensive report in a few weeks, but I wanted to share a few highlights from their brief 'preliminary' report they gave at the conclusion of their visit last Monday night:
    - there is a commitment to ensuring high standards for students
    - students and teachers hold each other in high regard
    - schools are overwhelmingly welcoming and clean
    - professional support for teachers is exemplary
    - commitment to providing and integrating technology is strong
    - resources are distributed based on need, where students need more that are more resources

Monday - MEA meeting
Tuesday - Climate Survey in TA
Wednesday - Phil & Averill and 2 PA students travel to Montpelier for their EQS-IFR

On October 21, LSSU was presented with the Lamoille County Mental Health award for Community Partner of the Year. The recognition is a reflection of all that everyone in LSSU does to support each and every student in school, in community, and at home. Thank you all for your contributions to the collaborative relationship we have with our valued community partner, LCMHS.

Sterling Anderson, Andrew Bowen, Emily McCormack, & Alex Mekus were accepted to the All New England Choral Festival at Plymouth State University and will perform their on November 5th.

Haunted House made $1000 - Many thanks to the chaperons and organizers: Mary B, Reeves, Rachel, Natalie, Kate T (and JJ), Kascinda, Steve...and if you see Michele Wright around she helped a lot with clean up.
