February 20 - Time to RAMP IT UP!

Super Saturday at PA - Dance Team Breakfast and Winter Trek for Warmth successful fundraisers!

It is one of those times of year where student behaviors tend to be more challenging and more prevalent than usual. For many of our students, a long winter break brings upon lots of anxiety and uncertainty. This manifests itself at school in many different forms: withdrawal, refusal to cooperate, disrespect, wandering, tardiness, anger, hyperactivity, immature decisions, etc.

Please pay particularly close attention to your students.

Do not dismiss early.
Do not send everyone out into the halls for long breaks.
Do not let the little things go without being addressed.

Be extra DILIGENT.
Be extra PATIENT.
Be extra PRESENT in the hallways, etc.
Report when something goes wrong.
In short, be as much of your awesome selves as possible.

A collective, consistent, and respectful presence from all of us will keep school calm and successful this week. We have only 5 school days before break. I know you are tired, I know you are working hard, I know your head hurts.....Hang in there...this is the time of year to "RAMP IT UP" not "let is slide".

Thanks. Phil
