June 6 - Final Community Meeting Tomorrow

As we work through these finals days of school, it may feel like the wind is pushing against us and the waves are crossing over the bow.  This is normal. This is what we feel every year at this time. But, it doesn't make it any easier. Some things that do help at this time of year is your consistency, positivity, and inspiration. You are all amazing people and our students follow your lead. These final two weeks will leave the final imprint from the whole year and it will be what kids are thinking about during the summer. You may be tired, frustrated, and ready to be done. Let's pick each other up and row together to uphold our expectations. This will help us cut through the waves and reach the finish line in feeling good.

Saturday, June 1st marked the beginning of LGBTQ+ PRIDE MONTH across the nation and Vermont. The purpose of Pride Month is to celebrate and commemorate lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender pride. At Peoples Academy our GSA (Gender Sexual Alliance) student led club is organizing face painting, sticker splashes, and more for students to show support. Being inclusive, welcoming and respectful are characteristics we work hard to encourage and inspire at Peoples Academy. The GSA is one example of a student group that helps to build empathy and understanding and bring positive energy to our school community. We celebrate these students for their efforts and leadership.

Updates/Reminders:

Faculty and Staff Device Hand-In
It is important that you update your school issued laptop and/or iPad  before next school year.  It is especially important that you turn in your device to the tech person in your building this summer because we are going to transition our device management to a new platform and we will need all devices enrolled before the start of next school year.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have a school-issued iPad, all iPads and apps will need to be backed up and the iPad will be erased and reloaded before going back into service in August. iPads not handed in may not function properly at the beginning of the school year.

Please coordinate with the tech person in your building before you leave for the summer.

VERY IMPORTANT-End of Year Teacher Tech Hardware Survey

Please take a few moments to tell us about the condition of your school technology. Your responses guide our work for the summer and will help us be ready for the new school year. Please complete the short survey by June 9th. End of Year Teacher Tech Hardware survey

Apps and Website Survey

We are looking for feedback on what apps and websites you are using with students. We will use this information to help make decisions about what platforms we purchase or renew for next school year. We may not be able to purchase every tool you want next year. Your feedback will help us make informed decisions about which platforms and tools to support as a district. We will email you back directly if we have questions or need more feedback.
