These social issue projects are worth a few minutes of you time. They are on the walls by the library and gym. |

From The Source: All faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to watch this short, three and a half minute video on implicit bias. This is the first of six in an Implicit Bias Video Series from BruinX, the R&D unit within UCLA's Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Each short video describes how biases can influence our decision-making and behavior without us even knowing it.
Also, two of your colleagues (Kate T and Rachel) traveled to Rutland week to 'testify' about PBL to the state board of education. This took lots of time, hard thinking, and effort. Thank you to Rachel and Kate for your time, care, and thoughts. I heard from some people who were there that Rachel and Kate did an awesome job. To learn more about what happened check out this VTdigger article. I'm sure there will be more info to come.

As you know, Janet Sanders will be retiring at the end of this school year. I know you will join me in acknowledging her tireless and endless amount of work, dedication and care for our school community. Thank you, Janet!
While we are very sad that Janet is moving on, I did want to update you on her replacement. Tarah Hubbard will join us this summer to take over the very important reins that Janet has used to help guide us. You may already know Tarah. She is a Morrisville resident and has two young children. She is currently working at Stowe High School in the same position as Michele. You've likely been greeted and welcomed by her to Stowe High School on more than one occasion in the past few years. She has an interesting background in Hotel Management and Culinary Arts. Next time you see her around, please join me in welcoming Tarah to the Peoples Academy Community.
