6/3 - FINAL Weekly Notes

A successful senior trip.....have we finally made it through the fog?

It's a little bit early for congratulations, but I'll do it anyway. Way to go, you've just about made it through one of the hardest years for educators on record. You are amazing and I am thankful your commitment to PA and our students. THANK YOU!

                   ------------------------

In case you missed it last week,

Teachers, please take a few moments to tell us about the condition of your school technology. Your responses will help us be ready for the new school year. Please complete the short survey by June 3rd. End of Year Teacher Hardware Survey

Updates:

Wear Spirit Shirts (or something in a similar color/style) next week in descending order. That means, start from the right and work to the left. Thus, wear the tie dye on Monday (9th grade), dark grey on Tuesday.......end with seniors in YELLOW on Thursday.

- As many of you know (but I imagine some do not), a PA student was collecting survey results from the student body on various topics. This was an effort to create something positive and fun for the school community. Unfortunately, a small number of students took advantage of the situation and sent some messages of hate and ignorance through their survey responses. This information was made public and caused harm to our community. This behavior is unacceptable and I want you to know that some immediate steps were taken and several more steps related to individual and systemic education are in process. This was an example that we have work to do as a system on our understanding of and response to forms of harassment and hate. I am working diligently on this effort. Please see me if you have questions, ideas, or concerns.
