9/9/2019 - starting to get our flow....

PA CSR (Communicating School Redesign) Team at Green Mountain Club for the 19-20 Kick Off - expect to hear more soon!
Clarifying Reminders on Staff Non-negotiables:

Please read carefully. During our discussion at Leadership Team last week, it was suggested that I remind you all of the agreements and decisions made during June and August In-service that relate directly to your work. Here we go....

1.* Due Date/Deadlines: these are the agreements from June; please be sure to share as needed with your students.

2.* Schoology Agreements: these are the agreements from In-service; please be sure to share as needed with your students

3. New Flex  guidelines: the intent of this guideline is that you follow these expectations to help create the best possible culture for learning during flextime. Please review to make sure that you are following the guidelines, especially the part about how to let students move from classroom to classroom.

4. Scholarly Habit Agreements:
      - Everyone assesses all students each quarter on Perseverance and Learning Strategies
              - how you teach, assess, practice and reflect on these habits is up each teacher
              - this is possible method that you can use  and discuss/reflect on with colleagues

      - Students will self reflect on Mindsets and Social Skills (process to be determined)

* Members of  the Leadership Team graciously designed a TA activity (below) to help guide student discussion on the Schoology and Due Dateline agreements we made. Thank you to Kate T, Reeves and Jen for designing this activity.

5. Please be sure to complete your Course Profiles by September 18th (the day before Open House). And, please be sure to place them in the appropriate team drive. This will help: PBL Playbook

6. Speaking of Open House, please have something available that parents can take home, such as, syllabus, course narrative, scales - or the first two pages of your course profile.

Celebrations:

David D moved to Fanny Allen late last week. He is doing well, talking and typing. He loves the
cards and brownies that we are sending to him. Keep it coming he says. He would love to hear from students and staff via email. He can be reached at mdmuhala@comcast.net, put 'note for David' in the subject line. He also enjoys visitors who are welcome anytime after 4 on weekdays and anytime on weekends.

Happy Birthday: 9/9 - Dan Bruce; 9/12 Annalise Beech

Nice note: Last night Dave said he had never seen Andi (9th grader) so excited about school! We are hearing simply wonderful things! Thanks for all you (all of you) do to keep things lively and engaging. You guys are off to a tremendous start.

From, Betsy (parent of 9th grader and alum)
