Updates/Reminders:
News Update: There was an article published in the local papers this week related to a student incident at our school. First, the article is inaccurate and if you have any questions or concerns about it, please feel free to see me. Second, if members of the media approach you, please do not comment and direct them to the central office.
Parking: I know it can be frustrating to arrive at school and not find a parking spot in the back lot. There are reasons for the configuration that are not always obvious. We need everyone to park only in designated spots. If these are taken please move to the larger lot by the band shell.
Cyber Security Phishing Test Update
Our first round of phishing tests are done, the results are in and the results are mixed. We raised the difficulty of the phishing emails significantly and we had about twice as many people open and either reply to the email or 'click' on a link in the email as we did in the test last year. Having more people fall for the scam is bad but you were contending with much more realistic and harder to detect phishing emails landing in your inbox. But now that you know, we should be able to score better next time.
The takeaway is this, please continue to be vigilant and think before you click. If you get a phishing email (real or a test), delete it and/or report it as phishing. If you are not sure if it is legit or not, contact the sender or ask tech support for an opinion.
Delayed Opening Schedule - In case of a delayed opening, the schedule linked is likely what we'll go with, unless it's more than a 2 hour delay. We've had a few mornings of icing conditions, which made me think it would be a good idea to share this schedule in advance.
