Time to hike....

One of things we have been encouraging this year is taking risks. I've seen many examples of teachers taking risks in the classroom by trying new lessons, techniques, using learning scales, etc. Thanks for your efforts.

And, thanks for your patience, support, and help as we collectively take a risk this week and take our first ALL SCHOOL trip. We are headed to Elmore State Park tomorrow, TUESDAY at 9:20. We will all meet in the auditorium prior to our departure for a brief 'launch' that will include goals and expectations. We need your collective unified front and efforts to support these goals and expectations. Please look for ways that you can be helpful and creative. This is something new for us. Some things will go great, some things will not, and some things will happen unexpectedly that will amaze us in  great ways. Thanks and enjoy.

*MONDAY: You will receive a brief announcement to make to students during B-block tomorrow. It will be hand delivered. The intent will be to encourage proper dress for the trip....we will NOT be announcing the trip at this point.

*TUESDAY: There will be an 'unexpected' announcement over the loud speakers asking 'all students and staff to report immediately to the auditorium for an important announcement....' This is when you and students will get more directions for how the trip will go

FRIDAY - TA UPDATE:  Resulting from the loss of TA on Tuesday due to the trip to Elmore, the TA Calendar will be adjusted. We will not be doing the next Citizenship Activity on Friday. We will send an updated calendar soon. For Friday, expect to do some follow up reflection with your TA on the all school trip to Elmore (questions and format for reflection will be provided). Friday will also be a good time to start academic check in's. Conferences are in less than 3 weeks!

Bridge number 8! Voted "Best Looking Bridge". The bridge was built by freshmen Mariah Beutel, and Adele Biasini.

A few weeks ago, the students below (Amara and Mariah)  took it upon themselves to help keep our campus litter free and beautiful.
