This is going to be good!

I"m looking forward to the talent show this week. Please remember that the Talent Show is during the afternoon on Tuesday, NOT during TA. In fact, there is NO TA on Tuesday because of this schedule switch. Enjoy and thanks to the Culture Committee for setting up. It should be FUN!

Possible Summer School Opportunity?!?

Recently I've been thinking about how to offer a few weeks of summer school at PA to support students who finish the year with an 'incomplete' in a course and/or they have not reached proficiency. I thought we were more than a year away from making this possible. However, it turns out that we may be able to use some grant funding to support some summer school. Thus, if you are interested in working for an additional week or two with
This ain't no summer flake
students in June or July, please let me know. I don't have detailed information or a grand vision for how this would work, but I'm sure we can figure it out together. In short, I think if we could get 1 teacher from each content area for two, 1 week sessions, we'd be off to an amazing start. So, let me know if you're interested! Thanks.

Upcoming Best Practice
Below, I've outlined some 'projected' plans for upcoming BP and TA. You can hopefully see how BP plans in February will support TA activities in February.

The focus of the next two Best Practice meetings will be on refining and developing your scales and targets for your classes and building graduation content proficiency scales. This is in part to get us ready for work on February 3rd. Bill Rich will be here to support our work. Please bring your work from last Monday's In-service.

In February, we'll shift our focus a bit to working on use of Scholarly Habits. We'll do some activities to share how folks are using them, how they could be used with instruction, and the role of TA and the Wolf Track (PLP) with the habits. *FYI - feedback from you along the way may lead to changes in these plans.*
