Awesome Musical...with sooo many students involved. Way to go Dave and all who helped. 

Welcome Back. I hope you a restful break. We all needed it.
And though Thanksgiving has passed, I probably can't say thank you enough for all the hard, thoughtful, and careful work you all do. I am thankful to work with and for you. You are a fantastic staff and make PA a great place to work and learn. Thanks!

There are several reminders, updates and opportunities listed below. Good luck this week and I look forward to seeing you.


Timeline for Q2 Mastery Report: 
      • 11/27 master rubrics available in Schoology resources tab (The ones Maura had you copy into your courses) Mastery Report step by step slide show
  • 12/5 - rosters provided during in-service for teachers to enter Qtr 2 proficiencies; time for Q2 term revisions  

      • 12/15 - completed rosters due; modified proficiencies identified for IEP
      • 1/12 - grade submission open
      • 1/18 - submissions due
      • 1/19 - verification completed
      • 1/24 - projected mail home date

Opportunity for Feedback on Mastery Report at Transcript level:

WEDNESDAY, 11/29
       - central office at 3:15

We need your input on:
     - Course achievement number display
     - Will the number be based on 'professional judgement' or a calculation
     -  If calculated, then how: average, weighted ave, power law, etc?



TA this week: 
  • for M3 this week you will have two options:
1. Present on Tuesday 11/27
2. Present on Friday 12/1
      • We need to make sure facilitators have adequate time to prepare. This decision should be made with your facilitator.
      • Please check in with your M3 Facilitator THIS week (Monday or Tuesday) and confirm if M3 will take place the following Tuesday or Friday.
      • Please CALL THEM BACK to your TA

Be sure to talk up the TED Talk opportunity wit your students. If students are unsure about how to choose a topic or theme, no problem. Tessa, the organizer, is going to run a workshop to help all participants. This is a great fun opportunity for our students. If you need more in for please see Moira, Kate or I. If students know they want to participate, have them contact Moira or Kate by via email or in person.
