November 6 -

While some students from Stowe and PA clashed on the soccer pitch this Saturday, others came together last Friday (in Montreal) to help think of ways to solve the problems of the world. These students and teachers from PA and SHS visited the Montreal Institute for Genocide & Human Rights Studies (MIGS) and met with the executive director. The center leads efforts to stop genocide and combat onlne extremism and ideology.

Thanks for all of your hard work, time and supreme professionalism during this 1st quarter grading period. I hear over and over how people in our building have been kind, supportive, helpful, patient and positive during this challenging time. Thank you! Without your respectful and empathetic attitudes toward each other, this process would have been much more difficult. You are an amazing group of people and our students and community are lucky to have you.

This Week's Link:   Inspiring video

Five hundred Vermont educators and students joined us last week for our annual conference, the highlight of which was the inspiring keynote address from Dr. Ruha Benjamin: SCHOOLS AS LABORATORIES FOR SOCIAL CHANGE REGENERATING EMPATHY AT THE HEART OF EDUCATION.  Our conference survey confirmed that for nearly everyone present, it was the best keynote speech they had ever witnessed.

Schoolwide Happennings:

Kindness rules: Students send positive vibes to their classmate in the hospital.
