9/3/2018 And we're off....




It was a great welcome week(s) .

Thanks for your hard work, diligence to prepare for school opening, and overall great attitude the last few weeks. Despite the challenging weather and abrupt change in schedule our students appear to have experienced a positive and smooth transition from the lazy days of summer to the busy days of their fall school schedule. Great job helping us to get off on the correct foot.

Celebrations:
     Congratulations to Shannon who was recently selected to the National American Library Association:  The American Library Association (ALA) Council is the governing body of the national library organization. It determines all policies of ALA which in best practices, librarians adhere to follow. Examples of previous policies range from: Services and Responsibilities of Libraries-School Library Media Programs to policies which encourage libraries to provide information on important issues, i.e. Environmental Issues or Nuclear Arms. There are 186 Councilors total and Shannon is serving as 1 of the 100 At-Large Councilors which means she was elected.
