1/6 - Happy New Year

Get out there and enjoy the winter! It will be gone before you know it, ha, ha.

These notes will cover the remainder of this week and next week.

Welcome back. I hope you enjoyed your break and look forward to seeing you all soon.

This week's link(s):

I don't usually pay attention to the 'best of the year, or the best of
the decade, etc' lists. But, one recently caught my eye. Take a quick look at this list - The Best Young Adult Book's of 2019. Why? The themes and settings in these books are nothing like what I was reading in High School or now. It's fascinating to me to think about what kids are or could be reading outside of what we assign to them. Regardless of the subject we teach, the ideas and topics that our students think about and are subjected to definitely impacts all of our classrooms.
