February 17: Final notes before break

Way to get your dance on! Thank you Wellness Committee!!

Hi all, we are just a week away from February break. Hang in there! The coldest and longest part of winter is almost behind us. I know you can dig deep and push through next week. We need a unified front focused on being positive, alert, and responsive next week. We often see high energy, poor decision making, and excitable behaviors the week before break. Let's all be active in the hallways during breaks, before and after school, and set a positive, supportive and welcoming tone to help keep the school calm and safe.

To help get us through the week, Monday's Best Practice will be dedicated to informal time together. We'll start our meeting all together in the Library @ 3pm for about 15 min and then head off to other activities in small groups. In small groups you can move your body or get artsy along with your colleagues. Please complete this sign up form so that we can prepare.

PS: Thanks, in advance, to everyone who is helping with the Cupid Shuffle this Saturday. It should be fun.

Updates:

Thank you and Farewell from Kyle:  Thank you for welcoming me to your classrooms and for nurturing Farm to School learning opportunities within the community. I am sad to write that I will be leaving my position at the end of February. I will be headed into a student-focused position after which I plan to enroll in Champlain College's Teacher Apprentice Program (TAP) in the fall for my teaching license.

I hope that you all will continue to provide opportunities for your students to get outside working with plants or inside advocating in the cafeteria.

My last day will be February 21st, my personal email is kweatherhogg@gmail.com if you wish to contact me after my LSUU email is no longer in use.
