This Week's Link(s):
Lt. Governor David Zuckerman is available to join classrooms and general assemblies in Vermont to speak with students. As a former legislator and the current Lt. Governor, he can share his experiences with and have a discussion about state politics, the political process, civic engagement, and how anyone can get involved and use their voice to advocate for the issues that they care about. To schedule, please reach out to Lisa Gerlach, Chief of Staff, at lisa.gerlach@vermont.gov

Updates:
1 - 5/9-11 - We are having a Facilities Assessment performed by the state next week. They will need to see all areas of the buildings. They will try to be as unobtrusive as possible and may not enter your room. But, just to be safe, if there are any conflicts that you are aware of please let Tarah know and we will see if they avoid certain areas at certain times.From the Assessors:
"These assessments are mainly focused on the mechanical/structural components of the property, so we should be relatively quick and undisruptive in classrooms (assuming there is limited mechanical equipment in classrooms, our assessor will likely only be there for a few minutes). Our assessor shouldn’t have too many questions for the teachers/staff outside of the maintenance personnel."

2 - JUNE ASSESSMENT WEEK SCHEDULE
3 - Summary from our TA and Staff reflections on School Safety related topics - this is not for public dissemination and is incomplete
4 - Volunteer Reminder - from Central Office:
Volunteers can be tricky. If you are unsure, hopefully this (below) can be a quick reference for you. The volunteer packet can be found in the LSUU Office Forms share (as well as in the main office).
School Volunteers: All volunteers will need to be approved by your school principal. If approved, please send the completed volunteer packet to me for processing. As a reminder, volunteer packets are required for all classroom and library volunteers, performers, anyone "in residence" or anyone coming in to speak with a class. Packets must be processed prior to the date they are expected to be in your school and can take up to 10 days to clear them.
The volunteer packet is for visitors who will not be alone with students.
5 - Pop Up Thrift Shop: Please bring in your gentle used clothes and not used by you anymore clothing and drop it off in Kate's room. (For Spring Fling Service Day May 19)
