Happy New Year

Welcome back. I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable vacation. Good luck in these final weeks of the semester. It will be a push for all of us to help our students finish with success. We will kick of the second semester with two great in-service opportunities to work with each other and our colleagues from across the SU on our collective work toward a proficiency system. Please be sure that you have those dates figured into to your plans.

Finally, as you may know by now, the merger (EMUU) discussion and process between Morristown and Elmore has picked up speed and momentum during the break. The Elmore re-vote on 12/29 reversed the decision from November 2015, Meaning that Elmore has voted to move forward with the merger. However, Morristown will also re-vote on January 19th. The result of this vote will determine the final direction of the merger. You can expect students, parents, community members and others to engage you and others in conversation about this opportunity. There will be an informational meeting about the EMUU on January 12th, at 6:30 pm at MES. Please be sure to direct people to this meeting and the facts.

* Please welcome Connie Emmons to our PA/PAML food service crew.
