Tomorrow night there will be an informational meeting about the EMUU. It will be at MES at 6:30pm, following the board meeting. If you can not attend check out the website for more information or view this short informative video/slide show. It's important that Morrisville residents vote YES. A Yes vote will help maintain enrollment, quality, and sustainability for Peoples Academy. If you don't believe watch this video.

Got AP Scores!

If you can't read the small print, the poster says that PA - Morristown School District is an HONOR Roll District. What does this mean? Well, to start, it puts us in rare company. Only 4 other schools in Vermont (Stowe also)  and only 425 in USA/Canada combined qualified for the honor roll. It demonstrates one way how your collective hard work prepares students for hard work and challenge. It also shows how our efforts can play out in traditional measures. There will be an article in this weeks reporter/citizen explaining the details that will also feature interviews with PA teachers and students.

Upcoming Dates:

1/11 - BP Library 3pm
1/11 - Finals Week (No TA 1/12)
1/18 - LSSU In-Service @ PA 8-4
1/22 - 12 Quebec Student visitors (17th year!) (see Van for details)
1/26 - TA Community Meeting
2/4 - Early release data day
2/5 - LSSU In-Service @ Stowe 8-4
2/5 - Poetry coffee house at PA library - 6-9 (see 12/7 post for details)

Please welcome Kim Bailey to the nurses office:

Hello everyone my name is Kim Bailey and I am from Barnet Vermont. I am a LPN. I graduated from Vermont Tech in June 2015. I have worked as a paramedic for ten years and in emergency medical services since 2002. I have a 7 year old son that is my pride and joy. I love helping and serving my community and look forward to being part of the team at Peoples Academy.

Thanks and Congrats to our hard working and awesome English teachers who spent this past Saturday presenting at the Middle Grades Institute. Their presentation focused on their learning from the past semester on their 9th grade curriculum. Please thank them for their work and time. It will benefit us all and already has with this year's 9th graders.

Celebrations:

There is great article in the new N&C on Barb Brody's career. It will displayed next to the article about Bill Chilton (from the fall Stowe Reporter) in the bulletin board case by the cafeteria.

PA hockey players are thriving on the Stowe Hockey teams. Check out this video or this one that features Max Carr after his 'hat trick' (3 goals in a game) during the vacation week. (You need to watch past the first set of highlights on another game.)

Way to go with the coat drive. Look at what we collected in less than 24 hours.

No Birthdays this week.
