September 2 - We're Back!

Nature Writing Class

Thanks for a great welcome back and first week of school. I appreciate the positive energy and vibes you all brought to school each day. The students tell me they feel ready, excited and welcome. Thanks for your part in making those feelings happen.

There were some hiccups and challenging behaviors this week. It's been a long, long time since our building was full and a long time since many of our students have been on a schedule as demanding as ours. The social and emotional needs of students (and ourselves) are high and higher than usual at the start of school year. I urge you to continue to pay attention to your students mood, behavior, attitude and overall disposition. They need us to help show them how to ease back into school, a packed house, and routine.
