March 21 - Spring is in the air......sort of

Congratulations to the  Peoples Academy Stage Company whose group of lucky 13 students advanced to the Vermont State One Act Competition this past weekend. Their performance of ‘Scenes from The Secret in the Wings’, by Mary Zimmerman, stood out among the competition at the Highland Center for the Arts. They will next compete at the state festival in Brandon, Vermont on April 5th. Special recognition for excellence in acting went to Ainsley Grant, Sophia Lam, and Liam Watson, and Gracie Chase was honored for her superb backstage work on lighting.

Updates/Reminders:

Monday 3/25 - Data Presentation

Thanks for your work on our presentation for Monday. Looking forward to the conversation aspect of the presentation we see this as an opportunity for your shared thoughts on these prompts as they relate to our future collaborative time and energy (meetings, inservice, etc).

We need and want your voice and thoughtful thinking skills on Monday. To keep the conversation moving and lively, we will have a time limit for each comment. Please take a moment to the review the prompts  to prepare yourself to be succinct.

We are hoping that you will feel inspired and safe to speak your mind, while sticking to the prompts. Your thoughts matter and Monday's discussion is about growth and ideas, not judgement.

SRSS (SEL SURVEY) - *TA ADVISERS* - Please complete this survey for each student in your TA by the end of the day Friday, 3/22. (1 per student)

Holocaust Education Week April 1-5, 2024, as part of Genocide Awareness Month, educators in grades 7-12 will be offered a menu of lesson plans and presentations to share with students for a week entitled: “Connections Across Genocides: Learning from the Holocaust”. Please visit the Vermont Holocaust memorial website to learn more and register.

Securely Update - it appears that we are not using Securly very much. That's fine, no problem. But, if you want to use it and need some help figuring it out, please let Phil know. We can help.

The gym is very bust again. We had a packed house for Spring sports meeting on Monday and, despite the perpetuation of winter, Spring teams are well on their way to preparing for green grass and clear runways. On a sad note, we had to cancel the softball team due to low interest. But, it'll be back real soon, there are 20+ students on the PAML team.
